Rizvi, accompanied by party supporters, conducted a protest in the capital`s Kurmitola bus stand area, reaffirming the party`s election appeal and continuing the non-cooperation action.
In his speech to the crowd of people, Rizvi said that the elections were counterfeit, with the ruling Awami League reportedly stuffing ballot boxes.
He alleged that the voting process was biased, with few genuine voters present at polling sites.
According to Rizvi, people did not participate in the election because the Awami League had allegedly packed the ballot boxes the night before.
"In this one-sided election, they filled the ballot box yesterday out of fear, sealing it late at night. Reports of fake voting are pouring in from different locations even this morning," Rizvi declared.
He also accused Awami League members of invading voting stations and casting fraudulent votes, claiming that they had an illegal grasp on power and were aware that the public would not support them legitimately.
Rizvi urged people to take part in the strike, emphasizing the importance of its success, "I am calling on the countrymen to join us and make the strike successful," he declared passionately.
The BNP`s health affairs secretary, Md. Rafiqul Islam, Tanti Dal convener Abul Kalam Azad, Jubo Dal Central Committee Vice President Zakir Hossain Siddiqui, and former Vice President of Central Chhatra Dal, Tariq Uz Zaman, were all present at the protest.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi`s allegations have heightened the political atmosphere, raising questions about the impartiality and honesty of the ongoing elections. Authorities are yet to reply to these claims, and citizens are watching for updates as the situation evolves.
